North Carolina Bed and Breakfast - Bellamy Manor & Gardens
Nestled in the picture perfect landscape of the gentle North Carolina coastal plain, the four acre Bellamy Manor estate is one of North Carolina’s hidden treasures. We invite you to take a step back in time and into the historic Bellamy Manor & Gardens North Carolina Bed and Breakfast, the perfect holiday hideaway. The well-preserved, classically inspired Southern Manor home features elements of the Gothic Revival, Italianate, and late Greek Revival styles.
We're located in the oldest town in Halifax County, Enfield, North Carolina, settled in 1740. Originally known as the Dr. John T. Bellamy House, built in 1873, Bellamy Manor & Gardens has recently undergone extensive renovations, and has restored its original charm. The old world traditions of graciousness and hospitality abound here. Originally designed as self sustaining manor home within the town of Enfield, the estate bears original scuppernong grapes, an old chicken house and smoke house and office outbuilding. Today it affords you a look back in history where you might hear the distant echoes of grazing horses and the laughter of revelers after a day at tobacco.
We're opening in the spring of 2010. Come inside and take a peek as we clear the dust, sow the beds, and mow the lawns getting ready for your arrival.
