Meet Suzann & Wayne Anderson: your guides to the discovery and wonder that await you at Bellamy.
Wayne, an Enfield native, is the son of Julia Branch Anderson and Alton Anderson, and kin to many Enfield natives who will gladly bring the history of Enfield to life. Julia, an artist and pianist, gave Wayne his creative edge; his dad, Alton, showed him the way to make a life worthwhile. Suzann is the daughter of Mary Kearon and Andrew McKiernan, who both hail from the green and misty isle of Ireland. Mary, an accomplished portrait artist and painter, gave Suzy her joie d’vivre and enthusiasm for entertaining, while her dad Andrew imbued her with a love of travel and adventure. “Its amazing how similar our parent’s lives were,” says Wayne, “and yet we grew up so differently: Suzann from an urban & northern backdrop, me from a southern & rural scene.”
When Wayne traveled around the United States after college, he lived in many places from the West Coast to the East. It was really serendipitous that he arrived in New York City and later settled in Jersey City where he met Suzann. Both were working in heritage, arts & cultural affairs, events and tourism planning for different entities. They met while working on an American Heritage Festival and they continued their collaboration in music, arts and entertainment.
The rest is history. Suzann fell in love with Wayne and his home town of Enfield. Together, they decided: what better way to share fun and adventure than to have a B&B, meet new people all the time, and share with them the art, music, and heritage of a rural life?
