With four lovely rooms, great atmosphere and seriously good fun, Bellamy Manor is a magical place to stay. Guests may walk the grounds, fish the rivers, hunt or just indulge in the luxury and beauty of the surroundings.
Formerly the town home of Dr. John T. Bellamy, Bellamy Manor is wonderfully secluded, yet within easy striking distance of beautiful countryside, golfing, horse riding and all the sights of Halifax County.
Bellamy Manor is special. It is emphatically not a hotel – it has no room service, a la carte menus. It is a private country house of the highest quality, stylish yet informal, sophisticated yet relaxing. Everyone eats together at a huge table, presided over by the owner, Wayne Anderson, or by the captor of the day’s biggest fish. Conversation is lively and the atmosphere is akin to that of a private houseparty.
The bedrooms (all with private bathrooms and lovely views) are charmingly furnished and the beds exceptionally comfortable. Downstairs, fine reception rooms include a cozy and eclectic library, a large drawing room with grand piano and the dining room.
The gardens are extensive and informal, with fine old trees, masses of flowering shrubs and a delightful meandering path.
The food at Bellamy Manor is highly praised, with only the freshest ingredients grown locally.
Throughout the year, Bellamy Manor may also be taken in its entirety for a private houseparty to celebrate a special occasion. Two or three night houseparties are popular, remarkably affordable and truly memorable.
The estate also provides skeet shooting, with advance notice, you will be taken to the country and try your hand at this fun target practice.
For special occasions, you may also be interested in our charming holiday cottage on the estate. Check the Cottage page in the Rooms section for more information.
You can get to Enfield by jet, single engine planes, trains and automobiles.
We invite you to drop in and stay a while and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.
